As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for performing routine and sophisticated laboratory tasks and procedures, developing technical expertise in one or more areas relevant to research projects, and participating in research activities involving all aspects of the research process.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of increasingly sophisticated experimental protocols and procedures, and assist in the design of new sophisticated or unusual protocols and techniques.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of experiments and results, and assist in identifying and troubleshooting of unexpected results.
- Order laboratory supplies and support laboratory operations.
- Maintain lab equipment and related records, and may coordinate use of lab equipment.
- Assist in the operation of specialized equipment, as required by the area of research.
- Assist in preparation of data for publication and/or presentation at scholarly meetings.
- Observe and follow safety standards and procedures.
- Orient research laboratory assistants or lower level research associates and undergraduate student researchers on day-to-day lab operations and routine procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Science Related Field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of research experience required.
- Preferably in the following areas: in vitro immunological and cell viability or cytotoxicity assays, cell culture, including primary cell isolation and expansion, animal handling, molecular biology and biochemical techniques, confocal microscopy, and flow cytometry.
