Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Secretary's Office in management of the Authority and Canal Boards, the associated committees, and advisory boards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Informing and contributing to the structuring, drafting, negotiating and/or approval of minutes, letters, policies and other documents.
  • Assisting the Corporate Secretary's Office in management of the Authority and Canal Boards, the associated committees, and advisory boards.
  • Preparing all aspects of meetings of the various boards and committees, including coordinating meeting room issues with facility managers and scheduling staff.
  • Reviewing and assessing requests made to Trustees, tracking members' mail, and directing to proper staff to draft responses.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to observe confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
