This position requires versatility, as the individual will navigate various responsibilities ranging from a proficient software developer to a technical team leader, consultant, and product advocate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Full Stack Software Engineer, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of Platforms, APIs, and services.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions to capture customer requirements effectively.
  • Create Spring Boot/Java API/microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, and more.
  • Deliver software consistently through Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Operate within an agile software development framework, employing Kanban methodologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to establish best practices that enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with product managers to devise solutions and break them down into actionable, production-ready user stories.
  • Identify opportunities for integrating new technologies to address current challenges and anticipate future needs.
  • Refactor API/microservices to improve simplicity and efficiency.
  • Conduct API Load and Performance (L&P) assessments on developed APIs/modules.
  • Develop high-quality and secure software, utilizing tools such as SonarQube and Checkmarx.
  • Engage in both individual and collaborative development efforts with cross-functional teams, focusing on end-to-end integration, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Utilize DevOps tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fossa, and GitHub for software deployment, enhancement, and management.
  • Stay informed about the latest open-source technologies and contribute to the technical vision of the company while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of software engineering experience in developing Java/Spring Boot web services or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
  • Over 1 year of experience in developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker.
  • Proficiency in API-related technologies, including JSON, REST, Swagger, and Postman.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Platforms, data movement, API design standards, patterns, and best practices for development and operations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting platform, application, and performance issues.
  • An agile mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging in in-depth technical discussions with customers and peers, establishing trust as a technical advisor.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, standards, and procedures for high-quality software development.
