This role entails direct interaction with inmates housed at the facility.ABOUT THIS POSITION:

Conducts advanced direct patient care tasks, including: administering medications and treatments; monitoring and documenting vital signs; and assisting patients with physical therapy and personal hygiene.
Maintains thorough and accurate records of patient care plans, services provided, and case histories; documents injuries in relevant reports; ensures adherence to applicable protocols.
Offers educational insights regarding patient conditions, including diagnoses, treatment options, and medication requirements. Provides emergency interventions and care related to patient health needs. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
This position is accountable for delivering advanced nursing care in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
KNOWLEDGE:
Customer service principles; Mental Health principles and practices; Medical terminology; Nursing principles and practices; Medication protocols; Modern office procedures and equipment; Recordkeeping principles; Computer applications and software.
SKILLS:
Delivering exceptional customer service; Providing healthcare services; Conducting medical tests; Preparing and maintaining patient records and information; Utilizing computer applications and software; Assisting with physical therapy; Preparing surgical dressings; Performing data entry; Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interactions with colleagues, supervisors, and the general public.
Knowledge of customer service principles, mental health principles and practices, medical terminology, nursing principles and practices, medication protocols, modern office procedures and equipment, recordkeeping principles, and computer applications.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
10-hour night shift
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. along with a degree or diploma from a state-approved professional nursing program and 1 year of relevant experience.
COMPENSATION:
$75, $87,990.83 Annually

Registered Nurse License:
CPR/First Aid Certification. Must successfully pass local, state, and federal background checks and possess a valid driver's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this category typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Very Heavy Work:
Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is conducted in a high-stress environment and involves risks to personal safety with potential exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
