Specialty Care Nurse Manager

Job Summary

The Specialty Care Nurse Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the operations of the Nursing Division, ensuring that programs provide high-quality services to patients. This leader will supervise program leads, provide guidance on operational efficiency, and promote customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personnel Management: Recruit, interview, and hire program and team leads, ensuring they have the necessary skills and experience to lead their teams effectively.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership in communicating and executing on organizational goals and objectives, guiding program leads to advance process improvements, and ensuring activities align with the organization's standards.
  • Operations: Evaluate program needs, coordinate access to resources, and support program leads in day-to-day operations, ensuring programs meet customer feedback, productivity, and quality indicators.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure documentation of patient care meets current standards, programs meet accreditation standards, and work closely with Clinical Quality Management to identify, monitor, and interpret quality data.
  • Financial: Collaborate with leadership to formulate budget requests, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for revenue generation within programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Five years' experience in a leadership role with supervisory responsibility, or an equivalent combination of formal or informal leadership experiences, education, and training.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, knowledge of performance improvement science and processes, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment

This position is performed in a clinic setting, responsible for treating patients with a wide variety of medical problems. The employee may be exposed to communicable disease during performance of duties. Job incumbent may be required to travel to remote locations by vehicle, small plane, boat, or alternate means of transportation.
