Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II

At Birdon Pty Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will play a critical role in designing and developing mechanical parts, components, and equipment, as well as providing engineering, manufacturing, and project support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical parts, components, and equipment using computer-aided design software such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, and AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Perform all aspects of engineering functions, including 2D drawing, 3D modeling, and designing new products.
  • Provide engineering, manufacturing, and project support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality problems and improve product design.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials in company ERP system.
  • Handle engineering changes and engineering-related corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of product design/engineering experience in an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of operation, principles, and practices of engineering drafting and computer programs with intermediate skills in SolidWorks, PRO-E, AutoCAD, or AutoCAD Inventor software programs.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Possesses a creative approach for generating new ideas.
  • Knowledge of fabrication methods, welding techniques, machine tools, cutting tools, and machining process.
