Job Summary

MedPOINT Management seeks a skilled Inpatient Coordinator to collaborate with the Clinical Care Coordination team.

This role involves handling authorization requests, provider and member inquiries, and ensuring timely and efficient communication with healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place outbound calls to verify patient hospital admission status and repatriation transportation.
  • Analyze and filter daily bed day logs, following notification processes and revisions as needed.
  • Connect with hospital case management and utilization review departments for patient reviews, discharge orders, and disposition.
  • Create and process inpatient and transportation authorizations via fax, email, or phone with CM directive.
  • Process clinical reviews and assist case managers with non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as an Inpatient Coordinator.
  • Experience with EZ cap, Right Fax, 3cx phone system, and EHR applications.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and work within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a managed care setting, medical office, or facility setting.
  • Highly motivated and positive attitude.
  • High-level multi-tasking skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and clear communication.
