Department: Cath LabFTE: Full Time, 1.Shift: DaysJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Matron to join our team at UCHealth Parkview Medical Center. As a Matron, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to enhance patient safety and optimize quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in providing leadership at the department/unit level.
- Assume delegated responsibility for oversight of unit operations and professional practice standards.
- Assist the Nurse Manager with the evaluation of staff.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care for the unit and the patient population.
- Actively coach and develop staff, serving as a role model for staff by demonstrating effective communication skills and problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with the CNS/Educator to meet the educational needs of the unit(s) to maintain continuity of care related to specific patient-care requirements.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care protocols, guidelines, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
