Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in evaluating staff performance and developing standards of care for the unit and patient population.
  • Participate in coaching and developing staff, promoting effective communication and problem-solving techniques.
  • Collaborate with the CNS/Educator to meet the educational needs of the unit and maintain continuity of care.
  • Assist in managing resources, including the equitable distribution of work and matching of assigned provider competency to patient needs.
  • Work with the Nurse Manager to identify and resolve operational, budgetary, patient, and personnel issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 3 years of experience in related clinical areas.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
