Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to project teams to resolve complex project control issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, attend regular meetings, and deliver statistical reports to ensure project progress and performance.
  • Lead a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance against established schedules.
  • Assess the impact of design and construction changes, as well as schedule slippages, on project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive system to track project plans and schedules, ensuring seamless communication with project and company management.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements, assign and supervise project work activities, and provide training to personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide personnel development opportunities for assigned employees.
  • Recommend and implement customized project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
  • Prepare statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis.
  • Participate in business development efforts by gathering and presenting background data, and may be required to make informal or formal presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management and project controls for large-scale civil construction projects.
  • Proven experience in overseeing all elements of cost, schedule, risk, change orders, and reporting in project controls on large programs.
  • Experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil projects is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at a high level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
