We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our anesthesia care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia services under the direction of an anesthesiologist, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
- Perform pre-anesthesia functions, including determining patient suitability for anesthesia and reviewing patient medical history.
- Administer anesthesia medications and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in post-anesthesia care, including monitoring patient recovery and providing pain management.
- Master's degree in Anesthesia or related field.
- Current Anesthesiologist Assistant license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- AA-C certification issued by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while managing multiple demands. You must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently during work shifts. You will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, blood, and body fluids, and must wear protective clothing as needed.
