We are in search of a skilled Diver who is ready to contribute to our dynamic and collaborative work environment, where every day presents new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform non-destructive testing and deliver precise reports on findings.
- Ensure dive equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tools prior to usage.
- Examine and assess docks, vessels, buoy systems, plant intakes and outflows, as well as underwater pipelines, cables, and sewer systems using advanced technology such as closed-circuit television and photographic equipment.
- Recover submerged objects by strategically rigging and utilizing cranes and winches.
- Operate underwater recording devices to analyze submerged structures.
- Engage in underwater search and rescue, salvage, recovery, and environmental cleanup operations.
- Provide ongoing updates regarding progress and conditions from the surface.
- Execute repairs on vessels, bridge foundations, and other submerged structures.
- Recover wrecked vessels and their cargo utilizing pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
- Assist in the placement of pilings and sandbags to support structures like docks and bridges.
- Gather relevant information regarding diving tasks and environmental conditions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading measuring tools and precision instruments.
- Act as a standby diver and/or tender as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Certification as an ADCI/ACDE Entry Level Diver/Tender or Commercial Diver.
- Current Dive Physical from the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI).
- Valid Diving Oxygen Provider and CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
- Capability to complete any necessary safety or job-specific training.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of training at an ADCI accredited or military dive school.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, reach, and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and squat.
- Capability to work in conditions of zero visibility.
- Demonstrated hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, and manual dexterity.
- Situational awareness and ability to work safely in a multi-tasking environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at depths of 100 feet and heights up to 100 feet.
- Physically and medically fit to wear necessary personal protective equipment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse personnel.
