Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Crest Industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with vendors, ensuring efficient and productive supply of material resources, and developing new relationships with vendors who provide competitive pricing and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete bid forms and maintain purchasing orders via distribution, communication, and tracking.
  • Communicate with vendors and develop relationships with new vendors who provide competitive pricing.
  • Complete vendor comparisons to ensure competitive pricing is being selected and adding value.
  • Source and procure materials, and enter purchase order data into the company's operating software.
  • Ensure that minutes are captured and properly disseminated for each regular and special vendor meeting that contains topics which potentially impact the company's procurement process.
  • Arrange with job site and vendors the return of materials as needed and follow through to ensure credit is received from vendors.
  • Work effectively as a member of a team that develops and maintains business unit work relationships.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in turn-around and/or construction environments.
