Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to assume the role of Project Engineer within our Chemical Manufacturing Facility. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining our commitment to safety and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize the health and safety of our employees, customers, and communities.
  • Develop and implement small capital projects, focusing on timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with operations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with OxyChem and regulatory policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate the efforts of engineering disciplines, both internal and external.
  • Review and approve technical drawings and vendor submissions.
  • Prepare detailed procedures, specifications, and bid packages.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project success.
  • Oversee construction activities and facilitate handover to operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage project close-out processes.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports and presentations.
  • Mentor and guide junior technical staff to enhance their skills and contributions.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve engineering processes and methodologies.
