Nucor Steel Auburn is seeking a highly skilled Kiosk Operator - Customer Service Associate to join our team. As a Kiosk Operator - Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to retail customers, accurately identifying and pricing non-ferrous scrap materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet and assist retail customers in purchasing non-ferrous scrap metal, creating a positive customer experience.
- Material Identification: Accurately identify the various non-ferrous scrap materials and grade accordingly, understanding the different pricing of materials.
- Inventory Management: Conduct monthly retail inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Quality Control: Identify non-conforming or unacceptable types of scrap material and follow company procedures for disposal.
- Operational Efficiency: Operate small material handling equipment as necessary to move materials for processing and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience requiring customer service to public, vendors, or internal contacts.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to be flexible and display a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Willing to work outside in all weather conditions and wear all necessary PPE while working or in the yard.
- Knowledge of Scrap Materials: Knowledge of scrap materials a plus.
Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 4:30pm, Saturday 7:45am - Noon.
