Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. You will also be responsible for leading and developing Team Members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Develop and maintain a high-performing team by leading, coaching, and mentoring Team Members to achieve their full potential.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor to drive business results and improve operational efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products.
  • Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Store Appearance: Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, including the prepared foods department.
  • Team Member Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to Team Members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
