About the Role

The VIZIO Data Science team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Data Science and Analytics to lead our technical teams with vision and empathy. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting the Inscape data business and VIZIO Advertising Technology groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Technical Teams: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage Data Science Teams: Oversee the development and deployment of algorithms and models to drive business outcomes.
  • Stay Ahead of Emerging Technologies: Investigate and implement new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Use data to evaluate the efficacy and value of product features and drive business decisions.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You
  • Qualifications: A trained researcher with a doctorate in a quantitative field or a master's degree with a thesis, and 5+ years of management experience.
  • Technical Skills: Fluent in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of predictive analytics, mathematical modeling, and statistics.
  • Industry Knowledge: Technical knowledge of ad-tech and/or data licensing industries, and proficiency with modern big data technologies and CI/CD frameworks.
