Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a DHS contract in Washington, DC. This position requires a Top Secret clearance and a DHS EOD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and engineering projects for the customer enterprise network, applying advanced engineering and networking principles.
  • Design and implement computer and information networks, including Software Defined Networks (SDN), Application Analysis, and Quality of Service.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, designing security measures and recommending hardware and software.
  • Experience with multi-vendor Firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Implement IPv6 engineering solutions.
  • Conduct complex assignments requiring interdisciplinary approaches, including network design optimization and technical trade studies.
  • Examples of activities include:
    • Network architecture and strategic planning
    • Evaluate network performance reports and provide consulting support
    • Engineer/re-engineer network consistent with customer service level requirements
    • Plan logical addressing, redundancy, capacity
    • Provide network design implementation and Tier 4 operations support
    • Provide technical information for documents and proposals

Requirements:

  • Designing and implementing MPLS/VPN networks
  • Designing and implementing SDN
  • Designing and implementing Data Centers using Virtual Switching Systems (VSS) and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
  • Knowledge with Tellabs GPON/Optical LAN Networking

Compensation Package:

An estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include:
