Job Responsibilities:

As a Lead Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring security measures are upheld throughout the property.
  • Managing money transactions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Overseeing command center and dispatch functions.
  • Checking IDs to verify guest eligibility for casino entry.
  • Monitoring and reporting any disruptive or intoxicated individuals.
  • Responding promptly to security concerns and emergencies.
  • Delivering medical assistance in urgent situations.
  • Offering support and service to both guests and employees.
  • Communicating effectively over dispatch radio.
  • Maintaining a positive demeanor in all interactions.
  • Adhering to Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission regulations.
  • Acting as a role model for fellow employees.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of security experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with investigative procedures.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred.
  • The capability to remain calm and make rational decisions in stressful situations.
  • Physical mobility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks.

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a dynamic environment with exposure to dust, smoke, noise, and varying temperatures. Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
