Avery Dennison is seeking a Manufacturing Process Specialist for our Reflective Solutions division, dedicated to the traffic and safety sector.
In this position, you will play a key role in designing cutting-edge processes, enhancing operational and procedural efficiency, and managing intricate engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering technical assistance to site operations, including the optimization of manufacturing workflows, electroforming techniques, and minimizing production costs, scrap rates, and setup durations while maximizing productivity and supporting quality improvements.
- Providing application support to clients by addressing converting challenges at their locations.
- Resolving process-related issues linked to equipment and/or product performance.
- Advancing safety initiatives, programs, and daily operational requirements.
- Collaborating with Marketing and Product Development teams during new product communications.
- Leading cost-reduction initiatives on specific products to maintain quality while enhancing profit margins.
- Conducting evaluations of processes and equipment, and developing operational parameters.
- Establishing and maintaining a network of reliable vendors/suppliers and driving facility-wide continuous improvement efforts.
- Working alongside R&D on the development, scale-up, and commercialization of new products and technology platforms.
- Executing process optimization Design of Experiments (DOE) to boost line speeds, reduce changeover times, and enhance product yields.
- Maintaining a database of process conditions for products manufactured on designated production lines.
- Providing leadership in production by fostering a motivating environment for team members to achieve and surpass facility goals related to safety, service, quality, productivity, cost, and inventory control.
- Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, quality standards, cycle counts, safety and housekeeping audits, and ISO corrective actions.
- Collaborating with technical and support resources to resolve issues and develop improved manufacturing and support processes utilizing lean sigma and six sigma methodologies.
- Championing safety as the foremost value within the organization by actively enforcing all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures, and ensuring team members participate in necessary safety training.
- Engaging in the investigation and implementation of corrective action plans.
