Job Overview

We are seeking a professional School Bus Driver to join our team at First Student. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $23.00 per hour, with opportunities to increase earnings based on experience. In addition to a competitive hourly rate, you will also receive benefits such as a $500 Employee Referral Bonus, paid training leading to CDL, and a Child Ride Along Program.

Job Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Prioritize the safety of students by following all traffic laws and regulations, and conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Exceptional Communication: Provide support to students by assisting with boarding and exiting the bus, and utilize good verbal communication skills to ensure a smooth and respectful environment.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, and maintain a high level of reliability in your daily routes.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license for at least 3 years
  • At least 21 years old
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Subject to a drug screen and physical
  • Subject to DOT drug testing
