  • Manage the department budget actively and proactively by tracking expenses, monitoring labor costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli department, including equipment, workstations, utensils, and display cases.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the store management promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in deli management or a supervisory role within a deli or food service environment is required.
  • Ability to learn and implement appropriate sections of company safety rules, GMP, and SOP.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for tasks such as pricing and inventory counting.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to customer service with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
  • Able to work in temperature controlled or cold environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
