Job Title: Principal Enterprise Cloud Architect

CoBank is seeking a highly skilled Principal Enterprise Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our technology organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of our cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Partner with the Chief Architect to ensure alignment of architectural strategies with our long-term goals.
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and governance of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
  • Promote and implement agile architectural practices like SAFe or Scaled Scrum.
  • Lead the design, development, and security of REST APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Lead as Subject Matter Expert on advanced CI/CD methodologies and tools.
  • Oversee development and standardization of modern observability and debugging frameworks.
  • Establish and sustain standards for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Champion security best practices within the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all architectural designs meet regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12 years of overall hands-on experience in software development lifecycle.
  • 8 years of leadership experience in managing engineering teams or delivering software projects.
  • 7 years of practical experience in API security, best practices, and standards.
  • 5 years of experience in architecting and implementing cloud-native architectures.
  • 4 years of experience in architecting and leading the implementation of event-driven architectures.
  • 3 years of experience in using or rolling out modern observability and application monitoring frameworks.
