Job Description - External
We are looking for a motivated, innovative, and committed professional to become a part of our Acute Care sales division. This division focuses on selling a wide range of medical supplies including examination gloves, durable medical equipment, incontinence solutions, surgical kits, and various other healthcare products utilized in clinical settings. The healthcare professionals engaged include, but are not limited to, directors, operating room staff, cath lab personnel, ICU teams, labor and delivery specialists, emergency department staff, materials management, and executive leadership. The role reports directly to the Divisional Sales Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and driven individual eager to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with hospitals within the designated territory to promote and sell products;
- Delivering sales presentations to various decision-makers, leading to successful product and program sales;
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships with key stakeholders;
- Introducing and selling new products while sustaining existing business relationships;
- Fostering teamwork among colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration across the healthcare continuum;
- Exhibiting leadership qualities and a strong ability to close sales;
- Preparing competitive bids and pricing proposals;
- Occasionally conducting cold calls to explore new market opportunities.
Qualifications - External
Educational Background
- A Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record in cold calling and achieving sales targets, OR at least 5 years of relevant sales experience.
Relevant Experience
- 2 to 5 years of business-to-business, outside sales experience is essential;
- Demonstrated history of sales growth and meeting quotas;
- Capability to present a variety of product lines effectively;
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills;
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Due to the nature of the role, the ability to drive and travel extensively is required.

The anticipated salary range for this position is variable based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is eligible for bonuses and/or incentives. Medline ensures compliance with applicable minimum wage and salary thresholds.
