The Architecture Department in the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Architecture Student Program Assistant.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with updates to the Architecture website, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty to create and update Architecture publications, showcasing the department's work and achievements.
- Support the creation and updating of the FIU by Design Publication, highlighting the university's design initiatives and projects.
- Provide administrative support to staff and faculty with minimal supervision, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite software, including After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Excellent creative writing skills, with the ability to write engaging newsletters, project descriptions, and brief reports.
- Students enrolled at Florida International University, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
- Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
Compensation$12.00/Hour
