We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology and Hepatology Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth Central Florida. As a key member of our medical group, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Evaluate and treat patients with gastrointestinal-related conditions, including GI bleeds, atypical chest pain/GERD, dysphagia, acute hepatitis, gallstone disease, gastroparesis flares, Crohn's Disease, and Ulcerative Colitis flares.
- Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Conduct routine laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to inform treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with Physicians and Staff: Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Track patient outcomes and make referrals to specialists as needed.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and hepatology.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies: Earned from an accredited institution.
- 2-4 Years of Experience: In gastroenterology and hepatology, preferably in an advanced practice role.
- Current, Valid Florida APRN or PA-C License: Required for APRNs and PAs.
- ANCC, NCCPA (or Equivalent) Certification: Current certification in nursing or physician assistant studies.
- Current BLS: Basic Life Support certification.
