Gastroenterology and Hepatology Specialist

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Gastroenterology and Hepatology team at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and staff, and maintaining a caring and professional attitude.
Responsibilities- Perform physical examinations, evaluate and treat patients with GI-related conditions in the hospital and outpatient setting.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory and X-ray.
- Treat patients with various conditions related to the digestive system, liver functions, and esophagus.
- Monitor patient treatment and make referrals to physicians or specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide consistent care and support.
- Display a caring and professional attitude, maintaining personal and professional growth.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
- Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies.
- 2-4 years of experience as an APRN or PA-C in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (preferred).
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license.
- ANCC, NCCPA (or equivalent) certification.
- Current BLS.
