Qualifications and Requirements
This position requires onsite presence.
- Minimum of one year of experience within the last three years in evaluating and treating patients with pain, psychological factors impacting their physical health, or coping difficulties related to medical conditions.
Educational Background:
- Completion of an accredited psychology internship recognized by the American Psychological Association.
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in any state or territory.
Core Responsibilities
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines set forth by the American Psychological Association and relevant licensing boards.
- Conduct thorough psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, testing, and collateral information.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses in accordance with the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
- Provide psychological treatment to individuals and groups, assisting patients in managing illnesses or injuries.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, including substance abuse evaluations.
- Engage in professional meetings and conferences as required.
- Participate in clinical research and investigations in the field of behavioral health.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with medical staff, legal entities, and educational institutions as necessary.
- Participate in specialized military training as required.
