We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating digital X-ray systems and imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Update patient information in electronic medical records systems.
- Provide excellent patient care and explain procedures to patients.
- Operate digital X-ray systems and imaging equipment efficiently to produce high-quality images.
- Clarify and follow doctor's orders, and scan necessary information in picture archiving and communication systems.
- Maintain x-ray room cleanliness after exams and procedures.
- Obtain patient information and chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures.
- Document fluoroscopy time and scan paperwork for radiologists.
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual quality control checks.
- Work with multiple specialties in the office, including orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, and spinal care.
- ARRT certification.
- New Jersey X-Ray Tech license.
- Experience in orthopedics (preferred, not required).
As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will work independently after training to cover sites on your own. Doctors rotate between sites with varying workloads. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a mix of busy and slower-paced offices.
