Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Summit Health Inc. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform CT examinations with precision and accuracy, utilizing sound knowledge of anatomical positioning and CT protocols.
- Follow established departmental protocols for procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and care.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Assume accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety, communicating effectively with attending radiologists and verifying provider orders.
- Obtain and document patient history and relevant information, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.
- Ensure the CT room's cleanliness after each exam and procedure, adhering to infection control standards.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments, adjusting priorities as needed to meet changing situations.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
- Operate CT and medical imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- 1-3 years' experience in radiologic technology, preferably in CT scanning.
- Graduation from an accredited radiology program.
- Licensure by the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection.
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- BLS certification, with IV certification preferred.
- Proficiency in RIS and PACS computer systems, with ability to maintain current knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
