As a Packing Associate, you will be an integral part of a diverse and inclusive workforce dedicated to producing top-notch baked goods. Your role will involve packing products in accordance with case count and quality standards, under the direction of the Production Manager/Supervisor. This position is ideal for individuals who value attention to detail, teamwork, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pack production units into cases based on specified case pack requirements.
  • Verify that packed product units meet quality and product specifications, including attributes such as color, weight, height, length, appearance, and core temperature.
  • Insert necessary materials such as master case liners, baking instructions, and retail bags into formed cases.
  • Ensure finished cases are correctly coded and labeled.
  • Properly place finished cases on pallets and ensure accurate labeling of pallets.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of packaging documentation.
  • Prepare box cartons with precise labels for packaged goods, ensuring box labelers are functioning correctly.
  • Operate various packaging machinery, including but not limited to metal detectors, product counters, case erectors, bag inserters, conveyors, box labelers, box tapers, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and bag counters.
  • Assist in collating retail bags according to production schedules as needed.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), safety protocols, and other company policies and procedures, as well as comply with relevant government regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift or move (push or drag) up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently carry loads exceeding 20 lbs.
