Position Overview

This is a PRN role that provides support across various departments.

If you possess experience in outpatient nursing or Med Surg/Oncology, we encourage you to consider this unique PRN opportunity available Monday through Friday, with no weekend or holiday shifts.

  • Adhere to established policies and protocols while assisting colleagues in utilizing these resources effectively. Remain attentive to patient needs concerning quality measures, National Patient Safety Goals, and patient education.
  • Serve as a charge nurse and/or preceptor, collaborating with supervisors to address unit-level challenges.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments tailored to the patient's needs, gathering data from diverse sources to aid in developing a nursing diagnosis.
  • Create a personalized Plan of Care based on the patient's assessment, setting mutual, realistic, and measurable goals, and documenting this comprehensively in the patient's record.
  • Coordinate and manage available resources and personnel to ensure the effective implementation of the Plan of Care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with completion of Preceptor and/or Charge Nurse program preferred. Must have completed 30 contact hours, including 12 annual Nursing Spectrum articles.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience is required.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within the first year of employment in specified departments.
  • PALS certification must be completed within the first year of employment in designated areas.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
