We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Urology team at Houston Methodist. Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate patient care with the interprofessional healthcare team.
- Conduct health assessments, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families on disease management and prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (not required for Employee Health, Employee Health Well-Being, Primary Care and Telemedicine departments)
- Experience working in a urology department or similar setting
- Knowledge of urology-specific procedures and treatments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
