Role Summary:

The Teller I position serves as the foundational role within Branch Operations, focusing on delivering exceptional service by addressing member transactions and inquiries. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of Credit Union products and protocols to ensure a high level of member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account inquiries, and loan payments; facilitate the sale of money orders, gift cards, and cashier checks; execute transfers between member accounts as requested.
  • Respond to member inquiries across various platforms, including issuing debit cards, resetting PINs, processing check orders, managing stop payments, and addressing online banking requests. Additional tasks may include filing, data entry, and telephone assistance.
  • Verify member identity and security, maintaining accurate member records and Credit Union documentation, including check holds and transaction reports.
  • Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-day procedures with precision and efficiency.
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and confidential service to all members and staff, while staying informed about all Credit Union offerings.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

  • Provide knowledgeable and accurate service to all members and staff by addressing requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate transaction posting and daily cash drawer balancing in line with established Credit Union policies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current products and procedures within the Credit Union.

  • Process member transactions with zero unresolved discrepancies and accurately record daily balances promptly.

Physical Requirements: The role requires frequent standing, walking, and the use of hands for processing tasks. Occasionally, the ability to lift office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds is necessary.

Work Environment: This position is situated in a professional office setting within a Credit Union branch, utilizing standard office equipment.
