We are seeking a Lead Microbiology Research Scientist to spearhead groundbreaking research in Microbiology, focusing on molecule discovery and addressing climate change challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and collaborate within small to medium-sized multidisciplinary teams across various research domains, employing agile methodologies.
- Prepare project proposals that emphasize excellence, impact, planning, task estimation, peer review, and documentation.
- Manage laboratory operations, including the design, construction, and optimization of experimental setups, while adhering to and enhancing good laboratory practices.
- Engage and collaborate with external laboratories to foster research synergies.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Pharma, and Biomedicine.
Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of demonstrated expertise in extremophile bacteria and their potential applications, including data analysis and result interpretation.
- Experience in drafting project reports and scientific publications is essential.
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for the startup ecosystem.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to explore novel R&D areas while embracing cutting-edge technologies.
- Strong command of English.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
