We are in search of a senior engineer who aligns with our principles and possesses extensive experience in managing and leveraging CDNs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the architecture, design, and implementation of enhancements to our infrastructure, optimizing CDN utilization
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams
  • Deliver enhancements related to security at the CDN level
  • Establish standards for CDN implementation across Square
  • Create tools that promote automation and self-service capabilities
  • Support engineering teams in diagnosing failures and performance challenges associated with CDN
  • Engage in an on-call rotation addressing all aforementioned responsibilities
  • Guide and mentor fellow team members

Your Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of practical experience in CDN management
  • Comprehensive understanding of edge architecture and its functionalities
  • Significant experience with open-source environments
  • Deep knowledge of protocols such as DNS, TCP, TLS, and HTTP
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • A strong personal commitment to quality
  • Experience in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies
  • Proficiency in networking and routing
  • Experience with platforms like Cloudflare or Fastly
  • Knowledge of Terraform
