About the Role:

  • This is a PRN position, working as needed in our 24/7 Health Center. You will have the opportunity to pick up a variety of shifts and work in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
  • Occupational Health experience is strongly preferred, but this is not your typical Occupational Health clinic. If you thrive in a busy environment, have strong clinical skills, and experience in emergency situations, this is a great opportunity.
  • We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team in Tonawanda, NY, to provide high-quality care to our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations.
  • Provide or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Use nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
  • Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred.
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required.
  • Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
