Job Summary

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team at The Bancroft School in Mt. Laurel, NJ. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess students' individual abilities and create customized lesson plans to address their unique needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with students' goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to parents and guardians to ensure they are equipped to support their child's educational and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to student education and support.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and guardians to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • CE, CEAS, or Standard License in NJ Pre-K to 3, K to 6, or K-8.
  • CE, CEAS, or Standard License in NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH).
  • Effective teaching, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience in special education preferred.
