Job Details:
Part-Time Position
- Shifts: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, or 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Work schedule includes various weekdays, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.
This position is eligible for a bonus funded by the MN Department of Human Services.
On-Call/Casual - Flexible Schedule: Minimum of 4 shifts/month (including two weekend shifts) and 2 holidays/year (double pay).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with treatments and daily living activities as assigned by the Clinical Director according to the individualized care plan.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
a. Personal hygiene tasks such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, and transferring.
b. Support with morning and evening care, including oral hygiene as necessary.
c. Incontinence management.
d. Assistance with adaptive devices, glasses, and hearing aids.
e. Medication administration as directed by the RN.
2. Provide physical care to residents in accordance with established procedures and performance standards, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Monitor vital signs and conduct Range of Motion exercises, promoting independence and dignity.
3. Respond appropriately to safety hazards, call lights, requests, and reassignment of duties.
4. Report changes in residents' physical condition, behavior, and level of independence to the nursing staff.
5. Assist with admissions and discharges.
6. Communicate pertinent information and concerns regarding residents, families, staff, visitors, and facility operations to the appropriate personnel.
7. Complete required documentation accurately.
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a dynamic environment, supporting all staff as directed by the Clinical Director or Registered Nurse.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and policies of the facility, including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precautions, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a CNA or equivalent
- Experience working with seniors.
