Job Title: Certified Family Peer Specialist, Part-Time

Canvas Health is seeking a Certified Family Peer Specialist to provide support services to clients 5-18 years old in our Mental Health Crisis Services. As a Family Peer Specialist, you will work with clients to identify and create goals, develop recovery plans, and provide encouragement for involvement in community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide family peer support services to clients 5-18 years old
  • Identify and create goals with clients and develop recovery plans
  • Provide encouragement for involvement in community activities
  • Support clients in breaking down barriers to community resources

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified or plans to be certified as a Family Peer Specialist in Minnesota
  • Lived experience with a primary diagnosis of a mental illness
  • Raised or raising a child with a mental illness
  • Current or former user of mental health services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Previous experience as a certified peer specialist
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records system
