Commission Processor

This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of insurance agent commissions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance industry practices and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and organizational skills.

• Commission Processing
  • Collect and reconcile insurance carrier commission statements and producer records.
  • Update agent commission workbooks and reconcile commission checks with HSI deposits.
  • Provide revenue and metric information for reporting purposes to operations manager.
  • Perform month-end reporting requirements.
• Special Projects
  • Maintain and update formal written procedures for commission processing.
  • Manage lead entry processing for timely assignment to producers and to ensure accurate metrics are reported.
  • Maintain a paperless resource center for carrier contracts and other retention documents.
• Agency Management Software
  • Reconcile client accounts as identified through commission processing.

• Associate degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience writing processes and procedures.

• Advanced Excel skills; proficient with Word and databases.
• Excellent follow-through and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good figure aptitude and extremely detail-oriented.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Property and Casualty insurance license and/or experience in an agency setting.
• Experience with agency management system.
