Job Summary

This position ensures the timely and accurate processing of insurance agent commissions. The Commission Processor - Insurance will be responsible for collecting and reconciling commission statements, updating agent commission workbooks, and providing revenue and metric information for reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and reconcile commission statements from insurance carriers and producers.
  • Update agent commission workbooks to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Provide revenue and metric information for reporting purposes to operations manager.
  • Perform month-end reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Complete special projects as requested by management, including maintaining and updating formal written procedures for commission processing.
  • Maintain a proper understanding of HomeServices agency management software to ensure efficient and accurate processing.

  • Follow the company HR Policy, the Code of Business Conduct, and all subsidiary and department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience writing processes and procedures.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills; proficient with Word and databases.
  • Excellent follow-through and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good figure aptitude and extremely detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Property and Casualty insurance license and/or experience in an agency setting.
  • Experience with agency management system.
