About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a Roadway Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of transportation infrastructure projects, working closely with our team of experts to design and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plans, completing well-defined tasks and contributing to the design of transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Support the development of alternative highway designs for public hearing materials, as part of the environmental document preparation process.
  • Prepare materials for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outlines, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.
  • Assist with calculation of quantities for construction cost estimates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience since obtaining a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
  • Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred and desire to obtain P.E.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Desire and motivation for training and performing tasks using the ORD CAD platform.
