Nurse Care Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their team in Hillsboro, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in progressive care unit nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Your expertise in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment: Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
- Planning: Develop an individualized nursing plan of care, taking into account the patient's developmental needs and coordinating care activities with other hospital and clinic departments.
- Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and surgical patients, accurately documenting care in the electronic medical record.
- Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
- Experience: Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience, with one (1) year of current telemetry inpatient experience.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- License, Certification, Registration: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Basic Life Support, NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
