Nurse Care Specialist

As a Registered Nurse in Kaiser Permanente's Float Pool, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Under general supervision, you will use your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients, as well as coordinating care activities with other healthcare disciplines. Your expertise will be essential in developing individualized nursing plans of care, prioritizing patient needs, and ensuring seamless transitions of care.

Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
- Develop individualized nursing plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring seamless transitions of care.
- Coordinate patient care activities with other healthcare disciplines, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
- Minimum two (2) years recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting.
- Minimum one (1) year of Progressive Care, Intermediate Care or Step-Down or Telemetry Unit experience.
