Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Float Pool team in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
  • Planning: Develop an individual nursing plan of care that is sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient. Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of the medical and/or surgical patient. Bases nursing care on protocol in place for management of each patient.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting.
  • Minimum one (1) year of Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, or Step-Down or Telemetry Unit experience.
Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
License, Certification, Registration:
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Additional Requirements:
  • Computer keyboarding skills.
  • Experience in acute care, utilizing the nursing process, effective problem solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting.
  • Med/Surg certification.
  • Progressive Care certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment with inpatient orthopedic patients.
