Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Janitorial and Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities and operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Janitorial Duties: Perform general building maintenance, including cleaning and sanitizing surface areas, vacuuming, mopping, buffing and waxing floors, washing windows and bathrooms, and taking out the trash.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair items as needed on Corps property, make handyman repairs to the facility, and maintain operations at the corps facility.
  • Operations and Logistics: Pick up, deliver, and store supplies as needed, organize and maintain all assigned storage areas, and maintain the vehicles, including filling up gas tanks and reporting repairs as needed.
  • Special Events: Assist on special events, community events, and assist in Food Services preparation as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School education or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year's experience in housekeeping and/or grounds maintenance.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of proper usage of cleaning chemicals, knowledge of housekeeping, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Certifications: Food Handler's Card/Certification and valid CA driver's License with a clean driving record.
