About the Position

This job is located within the Military Treatment Facilities under the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The employee will work with the Medical Logistics Operations Squadron to provide contracting guidance for the organization to the Installation's Contracting Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide contracting guidance for the organization to the Contracting Office.
  • Purchase and/or procure service requests initiated by the medical group.
  • Verify vendor compliance with service request.
  • Serve as a liaison between the contractor and facility.
Requirements
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
Qualifications
  • One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with review of contractor performance; maintaining records and/or files for the assigned section; notifying appropriate personnel of any issues with contract.
  • OR
  • Education: One full year of graduate level education with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.
  • OR
  • Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement.
