Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Medical Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and specialized tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform routine and complex chemical, hematologic, immunologic, and microbiologic procedures
• Apply advanced knowledge, training, and clinical judgment to ensure accurate and reliable test results
• Standardize, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Assist in the development and design of new test procedures and methodologies
• Participate in the instruction of clinical laboratory science to students, residents, and new employees
• Participate in quality assurance and regulatory agency activities in the department

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the individual must have a Baccalaureate degree and completion of a clinical laboratory approved or accredited program, along with certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.

Working Conditions:

This position requires considerable walking and standing, occasional light lifting, and working in a clinical laboratory environment with hazardous reagents and infectious materials.
