Job Summary

DMC University Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and analysis to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
  • Analyze test results and prepare samples for testing.
  • Calculate test findings and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and determine the validity of solutions, reagents, media stains, and various materials in the testing process.
  • Process and test all types of laboratory specimens; review and report lab results; perform operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent.
  • Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS within 12 months of hire).
  • Equivalency evaluation by ECE, NACES, or AICE for non-US trained personnel must be completed within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensure, as required by State.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months to 1 year medical laboratory technologist, clinical laboratory scientist experience in an acute care facility.
